Louise is a qualified Reflexologist having completed her iTec Level 3 Reflexology diploma at the Cotswold Academy completing over 100 treatments prior to qualifying. Louise is passionate about making people feel better and more relaxed with the power of reflexology.

Reflexology is an ancient form of therapy based on applying pressure to certain reflex points in the feet which send a signal to the corresponding body part, the idea is to rebalance the body by clearing any blockages of energy. Reflexology can help to reduce stress, pain, anxiety and is great for improving digestion and sleep patterns. Reflexology is a complementary therapy and is not used to diagnose any conditions.

Reflexology helps with the following;

  • Hormonal imbalances
  • Digestive disorders
  • Muscular pain – back, neck, shoulders and hips
  • Circulatory problems
  • Migraines
  • Improved sleep
Reflexology in Chippenham

What to expect;

Before your appointment I will email you a consultation form to complete. Reflexology is suitable for almost everyone other than women in their first trimester of pregnancy, anyone with active gout and anyone with any open wounds/sores or infection on their feet. Caution needs to be applied to those with anyone with a history of thrombosis. If you are in doubt please check with your GP that it is safe to have reflexology. Please make sure you are feeling fit and well for your appointment.

For your first appointment I will briefly discuss your medical history and explain the procedure, we will choose your reflexology balm suitable for your tailored treatment. I will observe your feet prior to treatment and assist you on to the treatment couch where I will make you comfortable and cleanse your feet with surgical spirit. You can opt for relaxing music and for some quiet or if you would like me to talk you through everything I am doing and finding then this is also fine, this is your treatment time and time for yourself.

Please bring a bottle of water for afterwards and make sure you drink plenty, because like a body massage I will have moved toxins about. Everyone responds differently to reflexology, from feeling super relaxed and sleepy to completely re-energised. It’s important to rest after a reflexology session and avoid excessive exercise, alcohol and caffeine for that day.
